Good morning precious Christ's Church Family and Friends, Today's Christmas Bible reading is: Luke 2:21-38; Isaiah 52:9; 60:1,3, 6; Matt. 2:1-12; Isaiah 49:6-7 In Luke 2:11 it says "Today your savior was born in the town of David. He is Christ, the Lord." It was an ordinary night, with ordinary sheep and ordinary shepherds. And were it not for a God who loves to add an "extra" on the front of ordinary, the night would have been forgotten and the shepherds would have slept the night away. When God shows up, the ordinary of our lives is transformed. God dances in the midst of the common! And that night when Jesus was born, I think He did a waltz! Max Lucado in his book The Applause of Heaven described it like this. "The black sky exploded with brightness. Trees that had been shadows jumped into clarity. Sheep that had been silent because a chorus of curiosity. One minute the shepherd was dead asleep, the next he was rubbing his eyes and staring into the face of an alien.
