Good morning precious Christ’s Church Family and Friends, Christmas is almost here!  It is my prayer that you are enjoying the holiday season and most especially living differently.  After last Sunday morning’s service I received so many comments of how God was giving new strength and courage to begin living differently and making changes as the Holy Spirit directed them. We are living in exciting times and I believe God is preparing us for His promises!  This Sunday I am going to be sharing a challenging message titled Christmas through the Eyes of King Herod. We were also encouraged by the many that were impacted as we took the message of Christ’s JOY into the neighborhood around the church.  We sent three teams out and had a great time singing Christmas songs, greeting and praying with people and I heard one team even was blessed with some Christmas treats!  This Sunday afternoon we will be enjoying our Christmas Outreach with a live Nativity beginning at 4:00 p.m.   This live Nativity is directed by our wonderful Children’s Pastor Vera Knutson and will be presented by our children and some of our members! Come out and join us as we share the…

Good morning precious Christ's Church Family and Friends, This Sunday as we celebrate the 3rd Sunday of Advent, I am going to be sharing Christmas through the eyes of the Wise Men. Sunday evening we will be meeting together at 6:00 p.m. at the church to go out Caroling to those who live around the church buildings. Last year this was an amazing time of ministry and reaching out to our neighbors and it was so much fun. Please come out and join us as we share the message of the Hope of Christmas. ________________________________________ Today's Bible reading is: Mark 3:13-15; Matt. 5:1-12; Matt. 6:9-15; Mark 4:1-10; Ezekiel 17:2; Luke 8:11-15 This morning I have been reflecting on the great gifts God has given to us. 2 Corinthians 9:15 says "Thanks be to God for His gift that is too wonderful for words!" There are gifts we buy and then there are those special gifts that we want to carry great meaning. And so they are not quick purchases. We can be seen stalking the shelves and walking the aisles looking for that extra special gift for that special someone. Why do we do that? Why do we go to…

Good morning precious Christ's Church Family and Friends, Today's Christmas Bible reading is: Luke 2:21-38; Isaiah 52:9; 60:1,3, 6; Matt. 2:1-12; Isaiah 49:6-7 In Luke 2:11 it says "Today your savior was born in the town of David. He is Christ, the Lord." It was an ordinary night, with ordinary sheep and ordinary shepherds. And were it not for a God who loves to add an "extra" on the front of ordinary, the night would have been forgotten and the shepherds would have slept the night away. When God shows up, the ordinary of our lives is transformed. God dances in the midst of the common! And that night when Jesus was born, I think He did a waltz! Max Lucado in his book The Applause of Heaven described it like this. "The black sky exploded with brightness. Trees that had been shadows jumped into clarity. Sheep that had been silent because a chorus of curiosity. One minute the shepherd was dead asleep, the next he was rubbing his eyes and staring into the face of an alien. That night was ordinary no more." The angel came in the night because that is when lights are best seen and that…
