CCNEWS 10-16-11

Good morning Christ’s Church family and friends, This morning we are continuing with our series Are you a Fan or a Follower?    This morning we are going to be looking at the Choice of Intimacy! Also this morning we will be baptizing in water those who are following in obedience to Christ’s command.   There are quite a number being baptized today and if you are interested in being baptized, here are some instructions for you.  We will be performing the baptisms at the end of the service so please come dressed in the clothes you plan to be baptized in.   Bring a change of clothes and a towel!   We will call you back at the end of the service.  If you have questions, please let me know. Tonight we will be meeting at 6:00 p.m. for a time of Prayer.  I am looking forward to this time of prayer!   Instead of our normal format we will be joining in an hour of silent prayer.  Come join us. Good morning Christ's Church family and friends, This morning I am going to be teaching on Water Baptism as we prepare to baptize those who are signing up next Sunday October 16th. There are several already on the list and if you want to be added to that list, please let me know. Sunday evening the Women will be meeting for a time of fellowship and ministry beginning at 5:00 p.m. Men if you want to come out and help with clean up or taking care of children please let me know. Here is this week's Blessing: Today you stand and live in the IT IS FINISHED work of Jesus through the Cross and Calvary. Because of your position through the blood of Christ and the resurrection of our King, I bless you to live free from the condemnation and guilt of the past and to walk forward into the new life that is before you. Hello Precious Christ’s Church family and friends, This morning I am continuing our series on Fan or Follower.   As I have listened to your comments after last Sunday I know that God is moving us to a new level as so many have been challenged.   If you missed last week’s message I would encourage you to download it from the website at:  Link to Sermon 9-25-11 As we move through this series, it will help you connect the dots of what God is speaking to us as each message builds on the previous ones in the series. This Sunday evening the Men will be meeting at the Cinemark in Webster to watch the movie “Courageous.”  The movie begins at 4:00 p.m. so I would suggest that those men who have purchased tickets in advance meet at the theater at 3:30 p.m.   If you signed up and pre paid for the movie, your tickets have been purchased and will be available on Sunday morning.  If you did not sign up, you will have to purchase tickets at the theater.
