Diane 10-27-10

I was looking at Beth Moore’s Living Proof Live blog spot this evening – her blog posts and comments are really fun. I thought I’d share this one with you along with my post. If you want, share with me your ‘meaty’ paragraph – I’ll post some of your responses here for fun!. Send them to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. Here’s what Beth asked this week: Talk to me about a time in your own life when God called you to an area of obedience that was particularly difficult but ultimately (and surprisingly) led to joy. Limit your story to one meaty paragraph so we can read as many as possible. Let’s hear it! I surely do love you girls. Long story short, Missy was healed of Hepatitis C and gave her life to the Lord. She was a co-worker who was having relations with my married boss, she had a baby out of wedlock. She was not very good at her work and was falling way behind because of her illness and her liver was shutting down. Management asked me to ‘help her out’ which virtually meant ‘do her work plus my own’. I cried to the Lord how unfair this was…

Some people have been asking for these recipes: Homemade Pesto:3 cups fresh basil – rinsed & dried; lightly packed4-6 cloves garlic½ cup pine nuts, walnuts or pecans (I use the walnuts or pecans)½ - ¾ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese3-4 Tbsp. freshly grated Romano cheese2/3 cup olive oil Mix basil garlic nuts and cheese in blender until chopped. Gradually add olive oil until everything is well blended. You can place the pesto in Ziploc snack bag, about 1/3 cup each bag and press as much air out as possible. Then freeze immediately. It tends to turn brown when exposed to the air, but will keep in the freezer for at least a year. This recipe makes about 1-1/2 cups and you can have 5-6 bags per recipe. Cream Puffs – serves 121 cup water½ cup butter or margarine1 cup flour4 eggs Heat oven to 400 degrees. Heat water and butter to rolling boil. Stir in flour. Stir vigorously over low heat for 1 minute or until mixture forms a ball. Remove from heat. Beat in eggs (I beat the eggs together first and then blend in) all at one time. Continue beating until smooth dough is formed – this may…

Diane - 7-14-10

Jesus, Jesus, Precious Jesus – oh how I love Him! Don't you? I think of His life and all that He did for me thousands of years ago here on earth because of His love and obedience to God and for His great love for me. And, when I reflect on that, I am strengthened, encouraged and delighted. And then I think of Him now – at the right hand of the Father, loving me, interceding for me, again I am amazed. I trust Him more because I know He hears me, He understands me, and He is for me. And, I think of what it will be like to be with Him someday soon – when I will actually see Him face to face. It takes my breath away. When I worship, I often see Him on the throne – our King. That causes such reverence. I am humbled that He calls me by name. He knows me – and yet He loves me so much. It is my prayer for all to want to know Him and desire more of Jesus by spending time with Him in worship, prayer and loving devotion – He is so worthy of…
